Description
The Women of Influence Luncheon Series provides opportunities and a venue for women leaders to network, share their best insights and business practices, and foster connections with others. Each quarterly luncheon will address a particular key issue and solutions to women's advancement.
We are pleased to welcome:
Erin Kane, Interim Superintendent of Douglas County School District
A Colorado native with an engineering degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Colorado, Erin Kane spent nearly a decade in the high technology industry in project development, project management, education, consulting and practice management. In 2004, Erin Kane led the effort to found American Academy, a charter school in Douglas County, Colorado, known for academic excellence and a world-class STEM program. Under Erin’s leadership as Executive Director, American Academy opened a second K-8 campus in 2013 and added a preschool to the program. American Academy now has three campuses, serving almost 2000 students in pre-K through eighth grade.
In 2016, Erin was appointed Interim Superintendent of the Douglas County School School District, where she is responsible for 89 schools with 68,000 students, 8,000 employees, and $700 Million in annual revenue.
Erin and her husband, John, have three teenage children, and have been proud residents of Douglas County for 18 years.
Come and join us for lunch and be inspired!
